WATER FEATURE HYDRAULIC DESIGN & OPERATION

The decorative iron fountains were originally installed around 1850, according to the Boston Parks & Recreations Department. The fountains were removed in November 2013 for renovations. HydroTech installed a state of the art water recycling and pumping system. Several underground vaults had to be designed and then installed to house all the newly designed equipment. The concrete portions of the basins were then re-laid and the limestone reset. The fountains were restored before being placed back on the pedestal.
